A creamy, dreamy, healthy pumpkin pie smoothie that’s perfect to enjoy all season long!
I’m a firm believer that smoothies are a year round thing. This healthy pumpkin pie smoothie comes at the perfect time as the temperatures start to drop and our seasonal cravings kick in. It’s time to trade in strawberries for pumpkin and make a delicious smoothie with major cozy fall vibes!
I love having smoothies for a nutrient packed breakfast or quick snack! What’s even better is when your breakfast tastes like liquid pumpkin pie. Plus, this is the perfect smoothie to make with your leftover canned pumpkin puree. (Note: I always store leftover canned pumpkin in a glass container rather than the can. It keeps much better! Here is my go-to set.)
Healthy pumpkin pie smoothie ingredients
- Frozen cauliflower: helps create a creamy consistency. Feel free to sub frozen banana.
- Greek yogurt: I used 2% for an added healthy fat
- Pumpkin puree: canned is easiest and works perfectly
- Almond milk: feel free to sub with any other milk.
- Pumpkin pie spice: I used this one but any will do
- Vanilla protein powder: use this link or code “alyssa” for 15% off Nuzest.
- Ice: helps to thicken
How to make:
- I made this smoothie in my Vitamix blender. Any blender should do. You may need to add more liquid if your blender struggles to get through the ice and frozen cauliflower.
- Add all ingredients except the protein powder and blend. Start on a low speed and increase.
- Once you have a smooth consistency, add in the protein.
- Blend again until the protein has been mixed throughout.
- This smoothie can be enjoyed with a straw or as a thick smoothie bowl. Note: I like to put my smoothie in the freezer for 5 minutes if I’m going to eat as a smoothie bowl.
