I've been on the biggest sourdough kick lately. For a while there (sometime last year) I thought I was having reactions to gluten and cut it out completely. Did I eventually start seeing those symptoms subside? Yes, BUT it could have been a few things working together to make my body feel off. I've slowly started incorporating it back in after feeling COMPLETELY balanced in my body. Currently enjoying my sourdough no bloat/itching attached 💯 I am so freaking happy to be so tuned in with my body to know what it does/doesn't need and what it can/can't handle. Health is a BLESSING. Always always always look inward to heal 🖤
Homemade hummus on deck this week! I TRULY need to Homemade hummus on deck this week! I TRULY need to have prepped snacks like this ready to go for the week or I'll continue to eat spoonfuls of almond butter in a pinch 😂 

This is the most FLAVORFUL hummus I have ever made. Enjoy!

#hummus
1/3 cup tahini
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp cold water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 
1/4-1/2 tsp cumin (really depends on how much you like this flavor, I used 1/2 tsp)
1 tsp sea salt
juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic
1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained

COMBINE all ingredients in your food processer and process on high for ~2 minutes. ENJOY with celery, carrots, or crackers!
I am 1000% not into “detoxes” but I also feel I am 1000% not into “detoxes” but I also feel like my digestion could use a little break after the holidays! Anyone else? I just whipped up a batch of these peanut butter cloud cookies to enjoy a lower sugar, filling and satisfying snack/dessert! ⁣

PB cloud cookies! Makes ~12⁣
⁣
1 Egg⁣
2 tbsp Maple Syrup⁣
⅓ cup Peanut Butter⁣
1 cup Almond Flour⁣
1 tsp Cinnamon⁣
1 tsp Baking Powder⁣
⁣
If you have a stand mixer, I would recommend using it with this recipe!⁣
1. Whisk your egg and add the maple syrup.⁣
2. Combine with peanut butter and mix well.⁣
3. Add in almond flour, cinnamon and baking powder. ⁣
4. Roll into about 1 inch balls and set on parchment paper.⁣
5. Wet or oil the back of a spoon and flatten your cookie to desired shape.⁣
6. Bake on 350 for 10 minutes.⁣
7. Let cool and enjoy!

I"ve been trying to use more of what we have on hand when it comes to lunch, especially when we don't have a ton of leftovers from dinner (usually my go to). This balsamic avocado toast was absolutely delicious and perfect for lunchtime! Came together in ~10 minutes too.

BALSAMIC AVO TOAST
thick slice of toasted sourdough
1/2 mashed avocado
blistered cherry tomatoes (add 1-2 tbsp olive oil and let tomatoes simmer stove top on medium for 5-7 minutes)
goat cheese
balsamic (balsamic glaze would have worked too!)
pepper

PEPPERMINT COOKIE DOUGH POPPERS! 💚❤️Now is PEPPERMINT COOKIE DOUGH POPPERS! 💚❤️Now is officially the time to start saving and making all the Christmas recipes! I whipped these up yesterday and will probably be making them again at least twice this holiday season. They taste DECADENT but are also really healthy! Save, make and send me pictures of your creations. ☺️⁣

PEPPERMINT COOKIE DOUGH POPPERS:⁣
1/2 cup almond butter (I wouldn't sub pb)⁣
2 tbsp maple syrup⁣
1 tsp peppermint extract⁣
1 tbsp cacao powder⁣
1/4 cup almond flour⁣
⁣
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well! I used a stand mixer and recommend an electric mixer to get this combined. Roll into 10 small balls (or 5-7 medium size) I used a table spoon to lightly measure it out. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. ⁣

WHITE CHOCOLATE:⁣
Heat white chocolate chips and ~1/2 tsp coconut oil until melted. Lightly drizzle, top with sprinkles and freeze for another 10 minutes. ⁣
⁣
These will store well in the fridge or freezer! I personally love the texture when they're FROZEN.👌🏻🤤

I actually used a store bought dressing (fig balsamic) but you could always make your own. I suggest: 1/3 cup olive oil, 2 TBSP maple syrup, 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar and 1 TBSP dijon mustard. Salt and pepper to taste. ⁣

Chop kale with kitchen scissors into bite sized pieces⁣
Massage (yep) with your dressing⁣
Add toppings: sliced pear, red onion, toasted pecans, roasted sweet potato cubes, air fried chickpeas (400 for 18 mins), goat cheese, craisins, and pumpkin seeds. ⁣
Option to serve with a protein source.⁣

¼ cup coconut sugar⁣
1 cup oat flour⁣
¼ cup tapioca flour (or another ¼ cup oat flour)⁣
1 tsp baking soda⁣
1 tsp baking powder⁣
1 tsp cinnamon⁣
 ⁣
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes!
