Does the cake batter flavor make anyone else nosta Does the cake batter flavor make anyone else nostalgic? I used to get cake batter ice cream (mixed with sprinkles of course) from Cold Stone alll the time growing up! If you know, you know. 😋 

I'm pretty sure these cake batter bites are the next best thing! I lightly sweetened these with maple syrup and used vanilla and almond extract to make that cake batter flavor POP. Save and enjoy! These are seriously the best we finished all of them in 2 days 😱 full recipe below AND on my blog.

CAKE BATTER BITES- makes 8
½ Cup Almond Butter
2 TBSP Maple Syrup
1 TBSP Coconut Milk 
¼ TSP Almond Extract
¼ TSP Vanilla Extract
½ Cup Almond Flour
1/8 TSP Salt Or just a pinch
Sprinkles

- Add almond butter, maple syrup, coconut milk, vanilla and almond extract to a bowl. 
- Mix until well combined.
- Next, add in almond flour and salt. 
- Mix until a dough begins to form. 
- Fold in sprinkles.
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, grab dough and roll into balls with your hands. 
- Set on parchment lined dish or baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Remove and enjoy! Store in the fridge or freezer.

I've been on the biggest sourdough kick lately. For a while there (sometime last year) I thought I was having reactions to gluten and cut it out completely. Did I eventually start seeing those symptoms subside? Yes, BUT it could have been a few things working together to make my body feel off. I've slowly started incorporating it back in after feeling COMPLETELY balanced in my body. Currently enjoying my sourdough no bloat/itching attached 💯 I am so freaking happy to be so tuned in with my body to know what it does/doesn't need and what it can/can't handle. Health is a BLESSING. Always always always look inward to heal 🖤

This is the most FLAVORFUL hummus I have ever made. Enjoy!

#hummus
1/3 cup tahini
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp cold water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 
1/4-1/2 tsp cumin (really depends on how much you like this flavor, I used 1/2 tsp)
1 tsp sea salt
juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic
1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained

COMBINE all ingredients in your food processer and process on high for ~2 minutes. ENJOY with celery, carrots, or crackers!

1 Egg⁣
2 tbsp Maple Syrup⁣
⅓ cup Peanut Butter⁣
1 cup Almond Flour⁣
1 tsp Cinnamon⁣
1 tsp Baking Powder⁣
⁣
If you have a stand mixer, I would recommend using it with this recipe!⁣
1. Whisk your egg and add the maple syrup.⁣
2. Combine with peanut butter and mix well.⁣
3. Add in almond flour, cinnamon and baking powder. ⁣
4. Roll into about 1 inch balls and set on parchment paper.⁣
5. Wet or oil the back of a spoon and flatten your cookie to desired shape.⁣
6. Bake on 350 for 10 minutes.⁣
7. Let cool and enjoy!

TOASTING to this savory combo! I"ve been trying to TOASTING to this savory combo! I"ve been trying to use more of what we have on hand when it comes to lunch, especially when we don't have a ton of leftovers from dinner (usually my go to). This balsamic avocado toast was absolutely delicious and perfect for lunchtime! Came together in ~10 minutes too.

BALSAMIC AVO TOAST
thick slice of toasted sourdough
1/2 mashed avocado
blistered cherry tomatoes (add 1-2 tbsp olive oil and let tomatoes simmer stove top on medium for 5-7 minutes)
goat cheese
balsamic (balsamic glaze would have worked too!)
pepper
